The Monolith Bluetooth Lapel Microphone was engineered in response to a request from the DPS Governor’s Protective Detail. Their team needed a discreet wireless microphone solution that could integrate with modern wireless earbuds while maintaining the reliability, security, and audio performance required for protective operations.

The most significant challenge was developing the technology that separates the microphone from the earbud.

Our similar platform, the Air Pro Wireless, allowed users to pair their own earbuds with their radio. While DPS liked the concept, they found that the microphone built into most commercial earbuds did not meet their operational standards. They wanted the discreet earbud speaker, but with a professional-grade microphone.

This challenge led to the creation of the Monolith.

When paired with off-the-shelf wireless earbuds, the Monolith bypasses the earbud microphone and instead uses the high-performance lapel microphone, delivering significantly improved voice clarity while keeping the low-profile earbud listening experience.

For users who prefer not to wear wireless earbuds, the Monolith also includes a 3.5 mm earpiece jack, allowing connection to traditional covert earpieces. This provides a reliable backup option and eliminates the need to charge additional devices.

The Monolith also introduces a powerful magnetic clasp system, providing a secure attachment point that is easy to use and prevents visible damage to garments or uniforms.
